Sedum allantoides Sedum allantoides is robust, hardy Mexican type peppers. His name was chosen with regard to stem and leaf conical shape is derived from the Greek words Allas = black tie, hook, sausage and eiods = form. Sedum is allantoides upright growing species with thick leaves and stems, with a bitter smell. Young leaves are bright green, bluish tinge get older. Allantoides cultivar Sedum 'Goldie' remains bright green throughout its growth.

The species is closely related to Sedum Alexander (platyphyllum), originating from the same region of Puebla and Oaxaca , where it grows at altitudes around 2000 m

Sedum allantoides is moderately fast growing species. In cultivation it is appropriate to place the plant outdoors in light shade. In the sun may burn leaves. I can grow from spring to autumn, as well as all other species except the Mexican Sedum rubrotinctum on the spot where the sunlight from 9 am to 13 hurt in the afternoon. Ideal for growing in the flat, the sun windowsill. The soil for growing choose sandy, well drained to avoid the cold days of waterlogging of roots and their gradual decay. Wintering in the cold room with a very limited dressing. We are not often cultivated species.

Goldii The collections also appears allantoides Sedum 'Goldie'. Species with brighter leaves with light-colored to yellow.

Sedum allantoides definitely impress with its looks. My friend Cactus first encounter with this plant ... commented, "That's pretty ugly to them .." The species is an ideal plant for shaping. Gradual odlamováním leaves and branches is obtained seřezáváním look beautiful succulent bonsai.
